Same! Had a neuro doc at University of Michigan tell me it was psycho- somatic and tell me I should see a therapist. Had a different neuro tell me that because my mri & eeg were normal that it might be “depression” Days later my lab tests from my LLMD (lime specialist/infectious disease specialist) came back positive for two strains of bartonella. I am at the beginning of my journey & struggling so much.

Thank you for this! I could not find any information anywhere except this video about struggling with Bartonellosis, not my first time, and sjogrens disease. I was diagnosed a couple of years ago but they just said it was dry eyes and mouth, no big deal, right? Wrong! Sjogrens symptoms are addition to dryness can mimics Bartonella. So can menopause. I have all three! I had Epstein Barr and Bartonella 3 years ago and took a year to get it in remission. Bartonella is back! I am being treated with ivermectin and methaline blue for it for 8 weeks. I struggle with severe digestive issues, pain in joints, numbness in fingers, extreme fatigue, pain in eyes at night as if I slept with my eyes open, dry persistent cough, shortness of breath, neck stiffness, brain fog and memory issues, and my eyes squint. Everyone used to say I had beautiful eyes and now you can barely see them. It’s getting to a point that I have difficulty with working or getting much done mentally or physically. But I am hopeful with diet and supplements my doctor gave me.

I have homozygous CBS, always knew i couldn’t tolerate sulfur medication. A year ago I went plant based and eating all of the healthy vegetables. Apparently my body became overwhelmed with the sulfur. I’ve had digestive problems the whole year. Until recently I realized most of my diet was high sulfur. Now I’m detoxing the sulfur. Feeling better already. Thank you for sharing your experience!

This breaks my heart so much now that this sweet young woman passed. People really are so cruel when something is too complex for them. What if people like this woman would have been empathetic. Clarithromycin is a BROAD spectrum antibiotic which kills BOTH good/bad gut bacteria. It caused SIFO for me. I used it to kill H.Pylori which it did but the back side is that I got a fungal overgrowth.

Excellent information but the silliness is very annoying!

I think the reason why the 60 and 90% percent extracts are more effective is because alcohol kills bacteria. So I bet the alcohol killed more than the herb. Good work that you mentioned the side effects. I think herbs that are really effective have mostly some sideeffects. The Gastric acid increase could also be a good thing because most people are deficient in stomach acid.

Can you take the leaf soak it in water & drink the water? Is that beneficial?

You can balance your sulfur with molybdenum. Just researched this in depth as I may have sibo. You can have some of these sulfuric compounds and by optimizing your molybdenum levels high enough to detoxify these sulfurs.

It’s possible if you still have sulfur sensitivity, you have the CBS mutation which in short is impaired sulfur metabolism, high sulfur foods and supplements will affect you negatively. How do I know this because I have CBS myself - it sucks.

I brought up the possibility of SIBO with my functional medicine doctor as my medical history pointed at it. She didn't test me for it, but in my treatment program was uva ursa and oregano oil, so I guess she did listen to me on that one.
